OPERATIONS & FULL CYCLE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
The development area, composed of:
-
One engineer
-
Two pattern makers
-
One production assistant
works alongside the designer to define every detail of the product to be manufactured.
They have the opportunity to collaborate directly in our workshops until the idea is fully and precisely brought to life.
The total cost of this service is included in the overall production price, unless the project does not move forward — in which case, it will be charged separately based on the type of product.
01
Sketch
The first stage where both the designer and the manufacturer interact.
It’s a great opportunity to personally explain your design to our team, review in detail how your idea is brought to life, assess production costs based on manufacturing complexity, highlight the aspects you want to emphasize, and define the patterns for fabrication.
Of course, if you’re unable to be present during the sketch definition, today’s video conferencing tools can be more than helpful.
But then again... we're in Barcelona — and defining your pattern is always a good excuse to enjoy a delicious paella by our magnificent beaches.

03
Prototype
Once the initial discussions with the designer are complete — including pattern development, material selection, and choice of trimmings — we produce the first sample unit for review and final model definition.
At this stage, we evaluate the finished product, its details, and the final unit price. If everything is approved, we move forward with manufacturing.
If the result doesn’t fully meet the designer’s expectations, this is the perfect moment to fine-tune and adjust the small details to create your ideal model.

02
Selección de Materiales
Thanks to our extensive experience, we are able to advise on the most suitable materials — whether natural leather, synthetic, or vegan alternatives — as well as the appropriate trimmings and hardware that best match the original concept.
Our goal is to manufacture the best possible product, staying true to the designer’s vision, while using this information to optimize the final cost.

04
Production & Final Product
Once the prototype is approved, we begin production.
We accept minimum orders of 50 units, with delivery times of 15 to 20 days after prototype approval, depending on order volume. A 50% upfront payment is required, with the remaining balance due 10 days after delivery.
For orders over 250 units, Grupo Atelier is open to reviewing and adjusting the payment terms.
05
Quality Control
With over 24 years of experience working with international luxury brands, our commitment to quality is unwavering and thoroughly reviewed in close collaboration with our clients.
